Summary of Master Codes

Here, we come to an end of this particular session which is Masters on SAP FI module. Now let us summarize what we have learned from this session. We have seen general ledger account codes, how to create the account codes for the general ledger using the transaction code FS00, how to extend that general ledger account by using the transaction code FS15. Then we have seen creation of primary cost elements with the help of a transaction code KA01, activity for maintaining cost and activity types with the transaction code KP26. We have seen allocation cost elements, which are called secondary cost elements, how to maintain the allocation cost elements for that particular company code or vendor, how to create a secondary cost element with the help of a transaction code KA06.

We have also seen creation of vendor master codes with the help of a transaction code FK01, creation of customer master codes similar to vendor master codes by maintaining the text details for that particular customer and vendor with the help of a transaction code FD01. Then we have seen the creation of internal order master with the help of a transaction code KO01, creation of asset master code for transaction code AS011. Then we have seen creation of asset sub number codes with the help of a transaction code AS11. So here in asset sub number codes we’ll get a copy of the main asset under that sub number code. Then we have seen how to display that created asset master code with transaction code AW01N.

After asset master code, we have seen the creation of bank key masters, that is the FI01 transaction code. Then we have created house banks for that particular bank with the help of an example of Kotak Mahindra. So here the house bank creation transaction code is FI12. And then finally, we have learned how to maintain check lots for each bank with the transaction code FCHI. So here we have seen how to create and display the customer master, vendor master, asset master codes, then how to create bank key masters, house banks, etc. And then finally, we have seen how to maintain the check lots for each bank.
