Posting Rounding Differences
Okay, now you’ll see the next topic, which is posting rounding differences.

When we clear foreign currency invoice documents, we might end up with rounding differences, so the differences has to be posted to a P&L G/L account. You can do it here. Just click and enter the chart of accounts, and you’ll come here, so this is a transition key to identify rounding differences, which would be autocorrelated by SAP.

You must save the rules first. Just press save. And then, here, you can define a G/L account for rounding differences. Just create a G/L account and define it, and save it, so that the next time when you clear a foreign currency document, if there are any rounding differences, the system will throw a message. The system will throw an error message only if you have not set up this G/L account. So, if you see that kind of message, just come here and set a G/L account here, so that the rounding differences can be posted too.

But I cannot demonstrate a posting of the rounding differences using an example because it’s very difficult to simulate those kinds of rounding differences. But if you get an error message saying that a rounding difference account cannot be found, just come here and set up a rounding difference account. A G/L account will do. Make sure it’s a P&L account. Okay. That’s about it.
