Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
You can use this report here. It’s under accounting, financial accounting, account receivable, customer balances in local currency. Okay, let me execute this. You can enter a specific customer account, or you can also see all the customer accounts. I make sure this is ticked. You run it. There you can see the total for the 5001. On the debit side, of course, the customer will have a debit balance. 2001 on the credit side, that means your payment. This is the AR invoices posted and this is the payment made by the customer, so this customer has got a balance of 100. However, this customer has got an AR invoice posting of 3000, but he has paid $3000, so the account balance is zero. This is a summary, the report summary. The total of both the customers here, total payment of both the customers over here and the balance.
You can select by the account balance range. This is something important. If you have more than one reconciliation account, AR reconciliation account, that means certain customers are linked to one reconciliation account and some customers are linked to another reconciliation account, you can use this filter here to filter the customers by the reconciliation account, but in our example tutorial, using only one reconciliation, which is straight address, so you can’t really see the difference. If I select 2003, both the customers are linked to this recon account, so it’s being displayed. Okay, this is just for your information.
This one, you can display the customer’s address as well. This one, you can check the customer accounts which are not posted too yet, and this one will display only the customers with credit balance. Normally, the credit customers will have a debit balance. For certain scenarios, the customers may have a credit balance if he has overpaid or if he has overdrawn limit. Okay, so if you want to display those customers, you can choose this option.
I will explain what special G/L balance is later in the additional training. That’s about it. We go to the next topic.
